Trackside
maintenance requires the use of portable tools and site lighting, which makes the
provision of a reliable low voltage trackside supply essential. TEC provides a 4.0 KVA
single phase 230V / 110V C.T.E. isolating transformer to BS EN 61558-1, with
internal RCD fitted, petroleum jelly filled and enclosed in a galvanised sheet steel tank
to BS EN 60947 Classification IP54, complete with dual 16 amp socket outlets to
BS4343. All units comply with Network Rail/Railtrack specification RT/ES/40045 . TEC also manufactures signalling and telecommunications transformers to BR specification 924A.
