Trackside
maintenance requires the use of portable tools and site lighting, which makes the
provision of a reliable low voltage trackside supply essential. TEC provides a 4.0 KVA
single phase 240V / 110V isolating transformer to BS3535, petroleum jelly filled and
enclosed in a galvanised sheet steel tank to BS EN 60947 Classification IP23 or better,
complete with 63 amp socket outlet to BS4343. All units comply with Network Rail/Railtrack specification RT/ES/40045 Issue 3 October 2001. TEC also manufactures signalling and telecommunications transformers to BR specification 924A.
