Thank You

For the first time in the Company’s history a customer satisfaction survey was carried out by an independent public relations company.

From a database of approximately 200 customers, 64 were randomly selected and surveyed, from the 64 only 1 did not participate.

A series of 10 questions were asked, although the resulting answers were favourable to TEC (the majority of answers were in the good to excellent category) 2 main areas of concern were highlighted, one was the lack of regular communication and the second was tardy deliveries.

These points have been taken on board and steps to address the issues are being undertaken, the first of which is this newssheet, which will be circulated to all of our customers and will be an ongoing item throughout the year. As for deliveries - try us!

The management of TEC would like to thank all of our customers for their loyalty and custom, and a special thank you to all of those that took the time to complete the survey, please keep us informed of your views and let us know how we are doing.

TEC breaks into Electro Chemical Machining

TEC has recently designed and built two thyristor driven electro chemical machining units.

Each unit was capable of delivering from 3 VDC to 15 VDC at 10,000 amps, via a five limb transformer and a fan cooled six pulse double star diode bridge rectifier, enclosed in a ventilated floor standing enclosure. (see photo)

The units were unique in that TEC had previously fitted free issue thyristor stacks but up till now had never fitted the thyristor drive controllers and circuit boards, this was achieved by the use of an outside consultant who supplied the circuit boards, wiring diagrams and onsite commissioning to enable TEC to fulfil its customers requirements.

The units have recently been commissioned by TEC’s customer, who exported them to the United States of America, results have been so promising that the end user has requested a quotation for a unit of twice the capability i.e. 20,000 amps.
