This range of single and three phase transformers has been designed to deliver maximum
power rating with minimum weight and size. The open type construction is based on
lamination stacks, clamped between robust steel frames with fixings on each face for the
single phase range, and angle irons with base fixings for the three phase range.
In order to cover individual requirements the customer has a choice of four termination
types: stud type, block type, copper busbar, or flying leads. All transformers in this
range are varnish vacuum impregnated, and fitted with an earth screen between primary and
secondary windings. Floor or wall mounted sheet steel cases are available across the whole
range.
The flexibility of the TEC operation does however allow for individual specifications
to be met on a non-standard basis, including operation temperatures to class
"H", multiple windings, high voltage or heavy current designs: oil immersion can
also be catered for.
Non-standard transformers may relate to specialised electrical, environmental, or
